- Target one primary keyword per page.
- Title tag includes the keyword, under ~60 characters.
- Meta description is compelling, under ~155 characters.
- One H1 heading with the keyword.
- Logical H2/H3 structure covering subtopics.
- Keyword used naturally in the first paragraph and throughout.
- Descriptive image alt text.
- Internal links to related pages.
- Clean, readable URL with the keyword.
- Fast loading and mobile-friendly.
Don't Over-Optimise
Write for humans first. Stuffing keywords unnaturally hurts rankings and reads badly. Cover the topic thoroughly and the keywords follow.
